This song is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever heard, hence my lj name.
America by Simon and GarfunkelCollapse )

A good song:

BY Polly Paulusma

called: Dark Side.

WHY: Very infectious. She has a nice sweety kind of raspy voice (reminds ME of Joni Mitchell and Ani Difranco).

Lyrics: "I've danced with Romeos and gigalos, philosophers and slackers, vagabonds and Cambridge sons, the king of ___, their parents, infidels and Jezebels and boys with no talent"

Telescope Eyes by Eisley is amazing. Let's see some lyrics. Dear Matthew why can’t you see? You’re just not near enough like me. With your telescope eyes, metal teeth. I can’t be seen with you, you freak. It sounds kinda lame, but it's about childhood bullying, and is very good. Also, New Born by Elbow is stellar..I really like to start off mixtapes with this song because of the way it comes it straight away, with solely vocals. So hot. I'll be the corpse in your bathtub, useless. I'll be as stiff as a post, if you'll hold me like a newborn.
